One of the best natural nootropics to utilize is Huperzine-A, which is an extremely popular natural nootropic because it is easily acquired from the club moss plant. There are some laboratory procedures that are required during the creation of this nootropic, but its extremely beneficial to use, because the final result is a highly effective, purified nootropic. Multiple studies have deduced Huperzine-A has no negative side effects and no toxicity to the body, which makes it safe for human consumption. Research has also shown that this supplement can provide numerous cognitive, and memory improvements in Alzheimer’s and Dementia patients.  Huperzine-A is a much safer alternative nootropic instead of harmful, synthetic blends that can cause irreplaceable damage to your body.

CBD

Another very popular natural nootropic is CBD. As you may know, CBD is the cannabinoid which protects brain and nerve cells throughout the central nervous system. A series of studies conducted on CBD have shown that consuming CBD will delay, and in some cases, prevent damage to the human brain caused by various neurodevelopmental disorders and illnesses. Diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Dementia, and Depression have been proven to cause neurodegeneration in the human brain, killing off vital brain cells and preventing the creation of strong neuromuscular pathways. Micro dosing with CBD inhibits the creation of harmful enzymes that create plagues, which form in the brain and cause mental illnesses. L-Theanine

Another amazing natural nootropic is L-Theanine. The reason this nootropic is so astounding is because its natural calming abilities, such as reducing anxiety symptoms. L-Theanine is found in green tea, in its natural amino acid form. It has been an ongoing debate on if drinking green tea, or taking a pill version of the amino acid was more effective. Granted, drinking green tea will make the L-Theanine more bioavailable, but taking an L-Theanine supplement is more concentrated so the debate rages on. There has been speculation that dosing L-Theanine in doses of 2,000 mg daily, it can have the same anti-anxiety effects as taking 0.5 mg of Xanax. I have tried this personally and I have noticed a significant calming effect after about a solid month of 5-HTP and L-Theanine. I highly recommend taking this natural nootropic over a synthetic nootropic, such as benzodiazepines. Taking this type of nootropic can significantly reduce neurodegeneration of an extended period of time. 

Tryptophan

You have probably heard of the nootropic, tryptophan, which is an essential amino acid which is found in high levels in turkey, the chemical which makes you sleepy. However, tryptophan can easily be found available in pill format, and it is commonly taken to as a natural antidepressant, instead of common, synthetic anti-depressants, like Wellbutrin or Paxil. Tryptophan increases the amount of serotonin which is produced in your brain. When using Tryptophan for its natural nootropic anti-depression properties, the typical dosage is three to four doses per day for a total of eight to 12 grams. I’d highly recommend dosing Tryptophan instead of synthetic anti-depressants.

Caffeine

The last natural nootropic in our comparison is caffeine, which can be found in countless natural forms, like coffee or apples; in comparison to a synthetic nootropic, like Modafinil. Modafinil is a synthetic stimulant that isn’t available unless you have a prescription from a doctor. Both of these stimulants have been tested in studies conducted by the military, and both have been shown to increase cognitive performance and wakefulness in the candidates. Caffeine is one of the most popular, bioavailable stimulants in the history of the world, and its properties have been utilized for thousands of years.  Caffeine is a much safer to use than most other ADHD drugs that increase the natural production of dopamine in the brain, like Adderall or Modafinil.

As you can see from the studies we have discussed in this article that its much safer to use natural nootropics instead of manmade, synthetic nootropics that can be extremely harmful if taken in excess.
